Anyone got any advice on what to do next?

Have to say I agree with Big Graeme. I know this will sound like lecturing the OP after the event but to get a decent graduate job you have to have some sort of plan early on from the time you arrive at uni, be researching the types of careers you want to go into, apply for internships or if you don't get one try to arrange some sort of work experience in your 2nd year or summer between 2nd and 3rd year etc, and then apply seriously for graduate jobs in your third year.

My mate gave away cake for donations, walked the three peaks and hosted a theme night to fund his work experience to Brazil. You could try that!
At the start of July I’m going to Ibiza at the same time as my mate’s girlfriend. She and about 20 of her mates are going after graduating from medical school so I’m getting myself fit by going to the gym every day for £10 a month (corporate membership prices). Come along with us! |
