An organisation that wants to stop new oil and gas has been mischaracterised as an organisation that wants to immediately stop any use of oil and gas, and in the predominant cultural decision of "one side or the other" you only have two choices. Angrily agree or angrily disagree with everything.

Imagine if your default position due to the right wing's culture war was to be a shill for Big Oil against "The Wokes" trying to cancel it.

Obviously we urgently need to get away from a dependence on fossil fuels. It's so obvious that it shouldn't even need explaining to the nutters.

I think everyone knows what they want, in the great scheme of things the uk is doing a pretty good job of reducing emissions and does only account for a tiny percentage of emissions worldwide, its just that this movements spokespeople come across as mentally unstable, using apocalyptic rhetoric which clearly isn't true,it's almost like they've been brainwashed
