For those who haven't heard; Pete is in hospital with a detached retina. The circumstances of how this occurred are unclear, and he is due to undergo surgery tomorrow afternoon to correct the problem.

I'm sure everyone joins with me in wishing him well and a speedy recovery.

just spoken with jules, sounds if pete could have played his last game of rugby,feel really sorry for him, if the worst comes to the worst and he cant play again, at least ill have a great asistant coach, all the best pete, hope everything goes ok for you big man, if u need help with anything you know where i am,

Pete is at home now and is being a good patient, but it's a lot of work for me! He is recovering slowly and will welcome calls and texts in the next few days as he has only come home today, if you wish.

Good news is, is that it is not a rugby related injury, he will be out until the end of this season and we shall see in time if he can play next season.
In a few weeks I am sure he will turn up to a game or two with me on his arm cheering you all on.

Thanks for all your kind messages guys, I know some of you saw me at Toulouse but to be honest my eye was still poor.

I am still on the mend and yes I cant play until we review it next year. I am gutted but my eye sight is very important.
