Could someone please explain to me why the rules thread has been locked? I believe there is quite a lot of debate left in this thread and locking active, topical threads will do nothing but anger and frustrate those involved in the league. PM please.

Sorry Beax, that was me - I felt we can talk this one to death. I have had lots of emails on the subject. Spoke to Tom and highlighted some points in the last post and emailed the clubs main managers. The league meeting last months took a long time to discuss each rule in depth and now I have all the feedback - Tom and I discuss what went wrong - the 3 points are the begining. Tom is going to run a course to explain everything else in depth too.
The rules will get some time to get used to by the players and refs - hence why yesterdays game was no fun for anyone and very difficult due to intrepretation.
Can I encourage everyone to take another look at the rules and take a common sense approach - we will not get everything right first time.

These are are 7v7 is there any 13 v 13 with 7's players get tired alot quicker missed tags etc etc

In Chris Taylor defence his display was straight and true to the rule book. I would recommend him for any other game if the rules arent what we like we can get another game under our belts give it another month or so if people want to play or tweak anything then we can all do it at a meeting can't we.
Any complaints email me and ill sort them out.

Yeh, it can work in 7's, but there is too much space in 13 v 13

There are some little fends but majority are very good movements and turning to avoid tagging.
