It may not have been the result you wanted at the Saints today, but full credit to everyone involved with the Riversiders team.

Having been around the Saints side for a couple of years now, their record in the summer conference often means opposition teams turn up intent on playing spoiling tactics, more often than not that leads to games littered with penalties and cards!!!

Today is right up there with with the best summer conference games I've seen, and the credit for that must go to the Riversiders, you guys came to play good rugby and you didn't let anyone down on that score. I firmly believe that will be the first of a few clashes with the Saints this summer, as a divisional final between the two of you is a distinct possibility.

The weather couldn't make its mind up this afternoon, but thankfully it didn't ruin my attempts to capture some of the action with the camera

The bloke who got a bit bothered by the weather is fine too; a top up of water and he was right as rain.
