Having just watched one of the most surreal games of football ever, Arsenal coming back from 4-0 down to eventually topple Reading 5-7, what rugby league equivalents spring to mind?

The 40-60 at Featherstone this season was obviously unusually high scoring, the one where Richard Goddard kicked a drop goal from virtually under his own posts (ok maybe not) to beat Barrow(?) 45-44 or something, and the one against Leeds that everyone always mentions.

At the other end of the scale .....

Billy Harris told me that he was playing for York at Dewsbury in the 1970s, Nigel Stephenson dropped a goal and Billy touched it in flight. The referee gave a goal (which was not the rule at the time) and Billy ran after the referee saying "I touched it, sir, I touched it". The referee said, "Oh stop fussing Billy, it's only a point."

We beat Barrow 43-42

Uncle ESO was right, though - 45-44 ....... or something.

Then there was the 46-46 draw at Leeds, when we scored two converted tries in the last ten seconds or summat.

Wasn't entirely sure of the score because I wasn't actually at the game! Only home game I missed that season if memory serves me correctly, I know how to pick them. Watched it back on DVD like.

This one's a bit left field but I once saw a testimonial match (could have been Graeme West's) which finished something like 76-44 and the ref (could have been John McDonald) kicked a conversion. Think Warrington were the oppsition. Conversely I was at the Huddersfield Giants cup game where thet beat Blackpool Gladiators 142-4 and at Blackpool Panthers 132-0 win against Gateshead Thunder a couple of years ago. But for close high scoring games I can't beat the 46 all draw at Headingley involving the Eagles.
