So if we cant find a ground with 1500 seats what will happen will we be relegated ? If so it will ruin 4 years off hard work and success if you have plans to build a new ground there should be some leeway'"
We'll just play somewhere else, duggs. I'd like to play at the Keepmoat. We've won more games there than we have at Owlerton this season.

| Doncaster possibly during the Summer but in the football season would be tough with the Rovers and Belles playing football there would be fixture problems. If Rotherham Chesterfield Sheffield Utd and Wed all say no i would choose Wakefield (Belle Vue) I know it is not in South Yorkshire but potentially easier to get to and has better real ale pubs !!! However i know they were planning to move miles north out of town but not sure what the current situation is

Lot of ifs in there, duggs.

| The 1500 seats thing just seems bizarre to me. Do Workington, Dewsbury, Batley and Whitehaven have 1500 seats? That's a genuine question as I honestly don't know.

| You can get around 200 seats along a full length touch line, so I'd guess Workington do.
Dewsbury probably, Batley probably, Whitehaven not so sure.
Whether they need them is a different matter.

I seem to remember that the seated stand at Whitehaven holds about 600, but I believe that there was talk of then building more a second seated stand down the popular side (not sure if or when this would happen.
So like yourself and HL I can't for the life of me see why the 1500 limit is required.
I seem to remember that 1500 is the total number of seats at Wheldon Road, so not sure if the RFL are thinking ahead.

Batley have two all seated stands which you would know if you bothered to follow your team away!! With a total capacity of 7,500 for when the glory days return in the year 3000

Wheldon Lane would be instantly recognisable to Rip van Winkle after three sleeps.

I do follow my team away, however I prefer to watch what's happening on the pitch rather that count the fans/seats/pie stalls like a lot of people seem to do as it's all they bang on about.

| Think this is the first time I've posted on this forum (or any for that matter) in nearly two years but think it's due. Great announcement today, I know the whole 'wait until it's built' brigade will be out but the club wouldn't announce this and show plans if it wasn't happening.
Well done to Tubbs, Ian (Anniss & Swire), John Whaling and the rest of the board for working to get this done.

| I've checked, my last post prior to that was 5th September 2012. I think I've missed the bandwagon.

| Hope this all works out for you, looks like a nice set up.
I would offer the same word of caution I offered to Wakefield, Castleford, Swinton and Doncaster fans. Until you're sat watching a game in it, it isn't happening! Plenty of clubs release drawings and announce funding for new stadiums but only a few of them ever happen.
It sounds like you have the local authority fully behind it which will help massively but there are always curve balls
