It was very good of Keith Senior to try and keep the centre upbeat as obviously he would feel uneasy about a late challenge causing an injury to another professional.

Sadly,the objectionable home crowd only managed to up the crescendo into a joyous roar,rise as one in the seats and cheer gloriously as the smiling Hock walked from the field when he had deliberately attempted to injure another professional by punching him.

Sadly,it was left to the director of rugby to drag the next head coach of England from the official on the sidelines when McNally lay on the turf being attended to by medical staff.
