| Should be a close game the bookies have us a 6 point favourites which is probably just about right however we are looking a tired team so if i had a shotgun to my head would back Halifax +6. However there is an extra incentive for the players if they win they get the week off next week and remember we are unbeaten at home in the league and 20 unbeaten going back to last season yes we were poor on Sunday but if i had my way all of our main players would not have played against Doncaster and would have be rested !!!

| If the weather stays like this, as is forecast until 6.00 pm, we might be watching a new game - aquatic rugby league.
Whatever the conditions, I think a narrow win for Eagles.

| Whoever holds the ball better will win the game, simple.
Going to be a knockonathon in these conditions.

| Well predicted ESO lots of handling errors especially by us.We defended well but lacked the cutting edge and were beaten by the better side so well played Halifax.
Our season is now in tatters, It is now 3 defeats in a row and our Championships crown is virtually over.I cant see us winning three games in a row.If we avoid Doncaster in the next round we have a chance of progressing to the Elimination Semi Final but i cant see us beating Halifax or Leigh and even if we do we will probably have the difficult task to beat Featherstone in the Grand Final.
On a brighter note on a person to person web site (Betfair) somebody was still willing to Back Sheffield to win the Grand Final at the stupid odds of 5/2 so I accepted that bet and at least i should make some money in the likely event us not winning the Grand Final

| Aye - poor stuff with the ball. You can't expect to win when you spill as much ball as that.
On the positive side - I thought we defended quite well.
Too many games - and we're talking about four more from 2015 onwards.

I disagree. Our season is far from being in tatters. Sure we've lost 3 on the spin (as many games as we had lost in the 7 months previously), but I reckon we were well in it at HT at Donny. The boys will have gone in at HT and seen that Fev were 0-24 up and with that news it was only human nature that heads would drop. And they did.
At home to Fax we know from experience that our forwards always struggle in wet conditions. Indeed when we lost at Fax back in Jan, same again, the pitch was a pudding and their forwards won it.
Our backs are our strength and our forwards did not provide a platform for them to play on Friday. Add to that also Dom & Patch were strangely poor with ball in hand and also kicking for field position whereas the Halifax halves were superb when they put boot to ball.
Sunday is the last hurrah for us at Don Valley. Emotions will be running high and I'm pretty sure that the boys will be fired up to leave DVS on a high.
I'm convinced we will roll Dewsbury and then we go to Fax. Hopefully the conditions will be better than Friday and our quality will shine through.
Come on folks... it's not over so lets put the ground issues to one side after we've sent emails to BBC Radio Sheff & Sheff Star and tweeted as many folks as possible - then lets focus on backing the boys all the way to another GF!

Don't forget to email your councillors and MP as well. From the bit in the Star tonight it looks like the problem with Bawtry Road is the need to build a temporary stand and turnstiles. That's something the Council could help with, such as re-using stuff from Don Valley and perhaps providing some free engineering help for design etc. if they haven't got any money available.

| Yeah, so I've heard as well now. I wondered why the stand issue was the sole problem mentioned.
Good interview with Mark on Radio Sheffield this morning, and they said some nice things about Eagles later on as well. It's good to keep the issue alive and in the forefront of the minds of those who make decisions. One way we can help is to show that Sheffielders care about the Eagles by contacting the media and Councillors, MPs etc.
