| Well Done Boys, very proud. Thought we could have won by at leat 10 tonight, but Simon had an off kicking game, it would have been a shame to loose the game because of that. Thought Trevor Exton put in some hard yards, and finally Danny Mills runs in a straight line. He could of scored afew if only held onto the ball, out on his wing. Well Done, Bring on who ever is next, we are up to it. Will Miss Misi, Hope he will be ok for next year, but im afraid looks like this year will be all done for him.
Is it really the Year of the EAGLES!!!!!!!!!
PS thought it was disgusting to hear Leigh Fans cheering when Misi was helped from the field, No matter who it was, surely they should hang your heads in shame if you were one of those people doing so

| Just want to say an outstanding performance from our boys one and all and what a fantastic game, worthy of the play-offs. Shame for Misi, it pols like it's a fibia fracture, so that's his season bought and paid for. The way we kept going and not let the heads go down after the mistakes when in great positions was remarkable. In times gone past that would have been it. I will reserve judgement on the penalty try until I have seen it again on sky+. Well done all.
It's disappointing to hear fans booing any player, especially one being carried off badly injured. One Leigh fan did have quite a tirade our way. I pointed out that if it wasn't for Gateshead going bust, tonights game would never have happened. He quickly shut up and left.

First time that one'sbeen said
Well done though! Completley deserved the win and should have been by a lot more but for knock on's etc, we were lucky it was so close in the end.
Hope you go on and win the final so we can say we lost to the best team

| Penalty try was as clear an example as you want as a ref. Ball came off Szostak's knee and went into the in-goal. Robbie Paul then tackled Alex without the ball, meaning that he missed grounding the ball by less than a foot.
Really should have been a lot more but it'll do. Won't be able to make the Widnes/Barrow game because it's our presentation night.

what an absolute load of rubbish you write I was at the match and I applauded Misi as he was carried off cos that's what you do when a bloke gets carried off injured,to thank him for his efforts and clap him in sympathy but I wouldn't expect an empty head like you to understand that

| I'll be honest I was at the game and heard nothing but warm applause from the Leigh fans as Misi left the field. I understand he's currently undergoing surgery with a broken FIBULA (not fibia Badvibes, not very good knowledge for a doctor ) being the suspected diagnosis.
Wow, what a game. As Griff pointed out in the other thread, easily the most exciting so far of the season. Was genuinely gutted when Misi had to be helped off the field as early as the first minute and doubted we'd recover, but recover we did and put in an excellent performance, even if we did bomb about seventeen tries. The result would have been settled much earlier if we had a goal kicker, something that's plagued us all season and a problem which must be rectified for next term. My man of the match was Peter Green, easily the best game I've seen him have in an Eagles shirt, tackled like a machine and made two clean breaks, one of which put Joe Hirst through for a try, who incidentally I thought adapted superbly to the centre position discounting his floored pass which would've left Tim Bergin with a walk in.
Hopefully we can keep up the momentum and try and get to the final eliminator, personally I'm hoping Barrow come through against Widnes as I simply hate going to Widnes, we never ever win there and to be blatently honest their fans do my head in.
Oh and one more thing, the berks in front of us who were blaming the referee for their defeat (Leigh fans, one of which was England cricket legend Mike Gatting's double) might want to watch the tape back, Mr Hicks had a superb game barring when he missed the Leigh scrum half fumble from the scrum base.

| Well done on beating Leigh. Good attractive attacking rugby, if the ball had have stuck a few more tries as well. Good luck in the next round. Good to see Sovataboa still involved in the game.

| Brilliant performance from the lads last night. I was still shaking walking back to Dr. Badvibes car (epic bus chase last night Dr. Thanks for that). I wasn't confident going into the match, and even less so seeing Misi being helped off after about 2 minutes. But credit to the lads once again, they played out of their skins and really deserved the win. Trevor started shakily but was awesome in the second half and I thought the scrambling defence was magnificent. That was definately the best game of this season to date. I just hope they've not used up too much energy. I too hope it's Barrow we'll play in the next round. I think it'll be a better game.
