Its a long, long time since I saw them looking more "incentivised" (if there is such a word).

The board are trying to build a stable business prior to going for SL and the fans are behind them all the way. Just announcing that you're going full-time isn't enough. We've suffered financial problems enough times and are now building for the future. We had 8 years in SL from its inception and have lost around 60% of our supporters over the years but still have around 3 times as many as Sheffield. That's not a dig just a statement of fact and we want to build the support back up with attractive rugby and the subsequent success it brings. Yes, we want to return to SL but not at any price and only when we're ready.

Good luck to Halifax in their Qualifiers campaign. Certainly got great form on their side going into it.

For me from an Eagles perspective, I'm obviously happy we've gone full-time from next season. Our board will have done the sums and they wouldn't put presence at danger for a quick shot at SL. Even Tubbs has said we won't be spending big bucks on former SL players just so we may have an outside chance of going up next year.

We may not have the biggest fanbase but a potential step back into Sheffield in 2016 will do more good than anything. We can start to market the club in the city as there wasn't much point this season, even with the #RLNewEra, as we were out of the city. We've done well as a mostly part-time squad this season so next year will be an interesting one to say the least for us.
