I thought it was easy to take positives from our defeat at Leigh.

We tried to make a game of it despite the loss of a half back and although the first half interceptions were more passes straight to them than any hard work or 'reading' by them at least the second half saw a reduction in that aspect and the commitment and spirit was there for all to see for the full 80.I thank the players for there efforts in a difficult environment.

I hope confidence and concentration is high for this one.

I get the feeling this is going to be a hugely difficult game and one where continual encouragement from the crowd is vital.

Strange kick off time - long trip for the Workington players which allows for a strong bond to grow - new blood in the team - debuts - and with Wigan out of the cup and no fixtures until next week,a possible opportunity for a household name or two to be in the dual reg. contingent.

A chance for our players to start a winning run before we meet those sides near to us in league position and enjoying a good run of form.

I hope Cory is given the opportunity to play 80 minutes.

A bigger incentive than finishing in the top 4 and the opportunity to play Leigh again;this time 13v13,will hopefully be the driving force required.

Looking at Workington's recent record pretty inconsistent however only lost by 22 at home to bradfield and if i remember correctly were in with a chance at half time so they are playing ok however we cant afford to this game because if we do we wil two games from remaining 4 would be very tough (and there is no guarentee that 2 wins will be enough)
