| Quote: Angelic Cynic "I am quite pleased Carvell is not in their squad, and they may play quite an elderly/experienced half back pairing should Sykes and Cooke be together.
I wonder if the Doncaster supporters remain with Halifax fans to watch the game?
Always a difficult time to call the games as it seems some players are either wanting away or have agreed to join other clubs and the choice of coach for Featherstone appears,to me,to be a little strange
I'm hopeful of a convincing win for Sheffield Eagles.
#Jointhejourney.'"
it is rumoured at fev that carvell has left the club, like I say 'rumour' as there's nowt official and to be honest its been a bit of a big white elephant, if he was picked he wouldn't have posed a threat from the little we've seen of him.....as a fev fan living in Donny I would love Donny fans to stop an side with us as obviously fax will side with eagles....as long as its all in good taste I can take that......what makes ya think the choice of coach is strange AC? I didn;t think the timing was good but now its happened I fail to see why its a strange choice? I'm hoping obviously from is an unlikely win for fev but ya never know. does anyone on here use purple vouchers? I have 2 for one voucher for a sheff home game but it says owlerton stadium on back.....can it be use at keepmoat?

Eagles are favourites by 8 or 10 Points this is a surprise as i thought it would we would be four or six point favourites
the other big game of the day is Bradford v Leigh again i was surprised that leigh are 10 point favourites perhaps the compilers are thinking that Bradford might start resting some players for the middle 8's even if bradford win today they are unlikely to win the league due to Leigh's game in hand and much better point difference.
The rest of the matches seem to be priced correctly Batley are in a false position at the bottom of the table and Hunslet are playing terrible at the moment so Batley -12 is tempting however they only score 17 points a game on average.
For people going to the first game of the double header Halifax are favourites by 24 points
Dewsbury are in excellent form however if Halifax are winning in the early game they can no longer qualify for the middle 8's so Whitehaven might need it more so +10/12 points is worth considering finally London have got the long journey to Workington (they lost away to Whitehaven earlier in the season) both teams need the win but again if Halifax are winning London cant qualify but London are only 6 point favs I was expecting a little bit more so not bet here

| Get in there! We don't half make it hard work. Will have the match report on here in the next few hours. Steve Thorpe was my Man of the Match. Bring on London next week, hopefully end the regular season on a high.

Agree 100%.
A curates egg of a performance for me - never have I seen as many individual errors from usually reliable players.I'm just pleased they have got all the years mistakes out of the way.
Full credit to them for coming back from 10 points down. They fully deserve their chances against Super League opposition.
Just hope we catch Hull KR when they are emotionally and physically drained after a Challenge Cup game.
Defensively we need to improve as I thought we were as slow to react as the 'soccer' stewards were with the potty-mouthed few from Fev who, fortunately, were outnumbered by the proper rugby league fans from West Yorkshire.
Another good challenge next week in an area of the country which has produced a healthy number of Super League players in recent years.
Congratulations to all at the club.

| Even though the match is a bit of a dead rubber for us, It'd be nice to go down to London and keep up the winning run.
Not to mention exorcise the Blackpool experience.

| I see Menzie changed his name to Molloy in the second half was this to foul the opposition into thinking he was a prop?

| Either we knocked the stuffing out of them or they have given the entire first team the week off and whitehaven the game. Is that strictly fair don't middle 8 keep their scores for next round? and therefore haven given two extra points - off course it might be a fair result!!!!

Yes you are correct results get carried over and everybody gets the week off next week so I would be surprised that they would play a weakened side however with 2 teams going down Whitehaven needed the result more but not to score at home very embarrassing I wonder when that last happened at Post Office road had a look on their website and this is the first time that they have not scored at home since at least 2007 but they have had a lot of low scores at home this season 4 Sheffield 8 London 6 Leigh 4 Bradford
Hopefully Bookies will be offering odds on the Championship Shield the final 4 are virtually guarenteed without a ball being kicked however on current form dewsbury would be an excellent bet at a decent price because i presume the bookies would have Fev as favs and London as 2nd favs
