Aston hopeful to have several bodies back for Halifax test - www.thestar.co.uk/sport/other-sp ... -1-7226131
Would be great for Patch to be back in the side, another outlet of creativity for ourselves. Rightful praise in the article for Ben Musolino, who I thought was outstanding against Hull FC. Hopefully Knozza will be fit for the match, a big miss for us whenever he's not playing.

No reserves, but resilience, persistence and determination are omnipotent.: |
|
| Really looking forward to this game.
The Halifax head coach has a fantastic pedigree and must be well respected in the game with his development at Warrington, under Tony Smith, and his job in charge of England Academy. rlStoryrl
He seems to have got off to a good start.
He has a good squad...so looking forward to a real challenge for the Sheffield Eagles.

No Walker in the 19 man squad which seems to be a sensible decision, especially if he isn't 100% and with Bradford around the corner (glad Tonka's suspension is up in time for that one!).
Agree with AC about Marshall. Had the England Academy playing some really good stuff before he left that role, now filled by Andy Kelly ( www.therfl.co.uk/news/article/31 ... -new-coach). I attended the Fax-Giants pre-season match earlier on this year and was very impressed by Mitch Cahalane, now a usual starter alongside Luke Ambler at prop. Looking forward to seeing how their Aussie prop goes against our Aussie prop (Steve Thorpe!)

I was in a state of two minds, whether to put Knowles in the second row and start Misi at loose, or the lineup I put previously. Muso deserves a start, in my opinion anyway!

Without changing your starting XIII, I'd've gone for Davies and loose forward and Knoza in the second row.
But the game's about opinions.

A fair suggestion. Knowles has a similar skillset to Walker so that was another reason behind picking him at loose.
What'd be your 17 for tomorrow, Griff?

Knoza does have good hands, but I'd like him running out wide.
I'd go for
Laula-Togagae
Turner
Yere
Smeaton
Worrincy
Briggs
Brambani
Battye
Carlile
Thorpe
Knoza
Davies
Taulapapa
Davey
Blagbrough
Musolino
Stringer
That said, I don't mind which props start the game. The truth is, there are four props and they're all going to play half a game.

| Betting Update - with a very difficult game away to Bradford coming up next this is a vital game because a loss today and next week will probably see us level on points with the chasing pack The bookies have us as twelve point favourites which is exactly the same as i thought prior to checking the odds.
Doncaster look to stay winless (hopefully that will continue into next week as well !!) Bradford are 32 point favourites
Leigh are 30 points favs at home to Batley but should they be that high ? I pitched it mid 20's due to Batleys defence 5th in league but leigh have won their last 3 home games by 48 60 52 point margins and Batley have only won three matches this season (all against bottom 4)
London are 12 point favs against Dewsbury a draw would be nice from an eagle point of view
Featherstone are 16 point favs away to Whitehaven trips to cumbria are never easy a slight chance of an upset although would not want to bet on it
Workington are 4 points favs home to Hunslet (see above about cumbria trips) Workington have played well at home this season won the cumbria derby 40-0 narrow loses to Sheffiled and Dewsbury (13 points) and beat Doncaster by 27 I do fancy Workington to win today
