| Well what a terrible performance,Once again weve failed against a top team who wern't that particulary in top form,We just don't have the consistency to maintain a top two position over the course of a full season,Why?,Were okay on the one-off games but we can't consistently put a decent run through all the teams in the competition,For me the tactic of kicking continuosly on the 3rd and 4th tackle was the downfall,It was aimed at putting pressure on them in there own 20 but they just made the same amount of yards and made us tackle more,Too many tackles by us and they romped away with it near the end,We played into there hands,We were tired after putting so many tackles in,Plain stupid tactic,Attacking wise we were awful,no adventure,I know conditions wernt great but Leigh managed to rack the points up,Must do better against the top clubs or it is another lower play-off spot and doing it the hardway again and running out of gas on the final hurdle. UP THE EAGLES!!!!!

| I've seen us try that stupid kicking tactic quite a few times over the years and it NEVER EVER works. You end up having a third of possession and therefore end up conceding lots more points than you score. Utterly stupid.

| As a Leigh fan, the only problem that tactic poses is that if your chase isn't 100% bob on, you WILL concede field position. IMO, this tactic should only be used at places like mount pleasant, post office road, etc, grounds with a slope. The LSV conducts to fast open rugby, something sheffield excel in, so why not use it? i feel the ref nailed leigh early doors, but the tactics employed by sheff defo more than contributed to the heavy scoreline.

Absolutely bang on mate, nail on head.
We must really enjoy tackling the amount of times we kicked on the third tackle tonight, we got it wrong, plain and simple.
As poor as we were second half we have to doth our caps to Leigh because they were superb and would've taken any side in this division to the cleaners.
We'll just have to settle for our customary playoff victory over them!

That's rubbish, pal. Penalties were 6-6 in the first half and 7-6 Leigh overall. Never more than two difference at any time.
[iIf anyone wants to explain why the penalties reduced by 92% in the second half, I'd be pleased to hear it.[/i

Yep, give credit to Leigh. I thought Ridyard had (another) cracking game.

He did seem to have a spell where he evened it up a bit - let's be honest, we see that happen countless times during a season where it seems one team is getting all the penalties but then the penalty count ends up pretty even. The lack of penalties in the second half certainly helped the flow of our game but both teams sharpened up a bit around the ruck where I think most of the penalties were coming from.

Yeah, Matt, we do - but that didn't happen last night. 2-0 and 4-2 were the widest margins. I wouldn't say that they were horrendously onesided.

Fair enough, will bow to your statistical knowledge! Wouldn't mind a second look at the high shot on McNally early doors though, how did that look on the replay?

| Haven't seen it on the recording yet - looked round his neck from my viewpoint last night, first impact high on his chest and slid up to his chin.

| Has anyone seen Mark Aston today as no one saw him or any of his team after the match, all they could hear was the sounds of his moaning, and the scratching of his pen as He wrote to complain to the R.F.L. yet again about anything he could think of
