This Sunday evening - 6.30pm kick off @ Don Valley (for the final ever time!)

I went to Doncaster v Dewsbury last week and the Rams were very impressive - particularly first half. They have also ran us close a couple of times this season already - so it won't be easy.

Hopefully an improved performance and set up a crunch game at The Shay on Thursday.

I can see if being a low scoring game probably around 30pts 3 tries could win it, we are 4-0 against them this year. So my prediction is Sheffield 20 Dewsbury 12. Attendance as its the last game ever at DVS 1,200

I am working at the UK Student games and have seen the Athletics schedule, both tommorrow and Sunday their are loads of field sports the Hammer, Discus, Shot put and Javelin are all scheduled on both days .The last event is due to finish at 2PM so that leaves just 4 hours for the groundstaff to turn the pitch into a rugby pitch with heavy rain and winds forecast it could be a mudbath with loads of handling errors

Hopefully the bad run will end tomorrow and we'll kick on I agree it will most likely be a low scoring game our ball handling needs to have improved to get the win

With conditions like this who knows what might happen but I think Eagles will just shade it.

Leigh are out Batley won on golden point so no home field advantage in the Grand Final. The Weather is not as bad as i thought Just looked at the rain radar it should stop raining at appx 17:30 and mostly dry during the match however it will still be greasy and muddy underfoot. I was most surprised to see us as 16 points favourites hopefully the bookies are right

I got the prediction of a low scoring game wrong !!! We got lucky with the weather the storms subsided by Kick Off, A superb kicking performance and excellent organised and professional display now onto Halifax on Thursday its not great we have only 3 days rest but its on TV so thats OK but who chose the kick off time (7PM) if it is down to Halifax shame on you !!! many off us Sheffield supporters who are working on Thursday probably wont be able to get to the game. If you are working till 5 it is impossible to get there by public transport even if you are driving with rush hour traffic you might miss the start. A lot of our players have full time jobs what happens if they cant leave work early not an ideal preparation for one of the biggest games of the season

Coming from a fan of a club that plays the vast majority of its home games on a Friday evening with a 7.30 kick-off, I suggest that you suck it up.

Agree, people in glass houses and all that. Plus it's nothing to do with Halifax, Premier Sports have made it a 7pm kick off due to there being a Super Duper League game on sky with an 8pm kick off.

I thought we were excellent tonight, and to be honest it was thoroughly unexpected. Best performance for weeks. Should give us real confidence and momentum going into Thursday. It will be tough with the short turnaround, but I think I'm right in saying we played Sunday - Thursday en route to the final last year? Or the season before - if not both!

I did not realise that it was Premier Sports that asked for it to be played at 7pm so i apologise to all you Halifax fans I thought you were trying to get an unfair advantage and yes i do realise that we played 12/21 home games on a friday night it is the clubs decision not the fans i have stated in the past that it would be better for our attendances if we played on Sunday Afternoons at least if we move to Owlerton we wont be able to play on Friday Nights any more !!!

I guess I will have to watch the match on TV i would normally have gone but with a 7PM kick off it is impossible
