I imagine it could be in a similar state to the ploughed field we played on a couple of years ago

Well it's finally here, the start of the season is upon us.

A really tough game to start the season, no NRC games to ease us in and I'm concerned about us not having any friendlies to start the season. Halifax had a big 80 mins at a freezing cold Mount Pleasant on Thursday, slugging out a draw with one of the most physical sides in the division, which will give them an advantage IMO. We went to France for a long weekend, didnt play any competitive rugby and picked up an injury playing football.

I'm not going to predict a score because it's difficult to tell before a ball has been kicked. However I will say I think it will be difficult without QLT and Joe Hirst.

Att: 1820 (20 from Sheffield, obviously)

Apparently the soccer team have a game there on Tuesday. It'll be interesting to see if that gets under way.

What an absolute total pri'k, the Shay has one of the best playing surfaces in the competition.

Incidentally, a quote from Rob Worrincy which I hope you knuckle dragging clowns will note
“I’ve got some good memories and some good friends there and as long as we get the points and I come up with a reasonable performance I’ll be happy.”
Turn up enjoy the game, leave the bitter few out of your taxi.

Looking through past posts I had you down as a reasonable guy, what was the point of calling the pitch a ploughed field?
what is the point of turning up every time and subjecting rob and sam to vitriol?
What was the point of one of your directors abusing one of our stewards at the last game at the Shay.
Why are you all, 20, so bitter?
Get over it

I didn't call the pitch a ploughed field.

I didn't hear one 'boo' or otherwise towards Sam or Rob the last time we played you, when we hammered you in the playoffs.

I don't believe for one second any of our directors abused any of your stewards, although I haven't got any proof to say otherwise, though I suspect neither have you.

And another jibe at our following, how brilliantly original. It doesn't take away from the fact we're champions.

See you Thursday.

Wow Halifax John, youre an angry young man!

I called it a ploughed field, though that came from one of your fans a couple of years ago after the football team churned it before the start of the season. Its just a pitch anyway, relax and enjoy life rather than going on another club's forum and getting angry.

The director I spoke of argued with the steward who told his wife that she could not leave the East Stand section to go into the South stand. That is not the stewards fault it is ground policy. There was no need to insult the steward who was stood directly in front of us. Your diector said he would see to it that he lost his job. The steward asked us if we would back him up if anything further happened. I believe the steward also made a complaint to our club. I can't say what went on after that.
Call me a liar if you wish, please do not call my two sons and friends that also.

The incident I refered to you was at the Shay last year, the seniour steward had to remove one of your fans from the South Stand for abusing Rob when he came over after the final whistle.

I don't wish to take anything away from you being the champions, you hammered us fair and square two years running and congratulations but it's not a jibe at your following it's the truth.

Thank you very much, that's the nicest thing anyone has said to me in a long time.
Don't worry I do enjoy life, I will enjoy tomorrow night win or lose.
Shame you won't be there.
