| Looking like
Batley,Eagles,Feath,Swinton,Keighley,York,Dewsbury,Leigh,Halifax,Hunslet.
Looks very poor in quality for next season,So the Rugby League has failed really in providing a strong competition for below Super League as the standard now is worse than it's everbeen,Id like to see the attendance figures but id bet they have fallen since the first season of the championship,A minimum of 2.5k to tick a box for super league,I know you need a hardcore of home fans but the away support helps and there isnt many big clubs in the above with good traveling support,Apart from Fax,Feath and Leigh all the others struggle to get above 1k for a home game,The ultimate aim has got to be super league and it's going to get harder to get in super league as the time ticks on,only 3 and ourselves included if we improve attendances stand any chance of getting in super league,We really need to hit the ground running and TRY to get the attendances up,I fear if we dont apply next time or miss the boat,Its probably Championship rugby for a long long time and i only see attendances and the standard decreasing.

| Said it before - we need to throw the kitchen sink at it for two years and if it doesn't work just accept that we'll be a Championship club for the foreseeable future.
Friday nights might help - though I doubt it. For a start, there are only about two weeks of the season that don't overlap with soccer or grass growing so the fixture list is subject to the vagaries of the soccer fixture list. We'll end up playing some Fridays, some Sundays, no pattern and exactly where we were two years ago.
For me, Friday nights mean you're aiming at the corp hosp market not the blokes in the seats near the front. And it's the front seats that are the weakness of the business.
Is that just giving up ? Well, there has to be a point where you do.

| Looking at that list though, surely we can make a push for top two with a few good signings? Leigh probably aren't going to be as strong, I think it'll be between us, Fev and Fax.

| Sunday afternoons for me needs to be the way forward and at Bramall Lane. I know it's a one-off and it was the play offs but look at the Widnes attendance. Do one or two perhaps for the corporates though..
I've said before Tim and the club did really well promoting the Leigh and Widnes games and we nearly broke the 2,000 figure with both but we lost heavily in both as well. We now need to do the same with them games but also with games that we have a greater chance of winning!
For probably only the second or third time on here, I agree with Griff . These next two years we need to throw everything we can at getting more bums on seats and getting greater awareness of the club in the city and if it doesn't work it doesn't work. The club will have gave it a shot and will never be left wondering.

| Stick with me, pal, and you won't go far wrong.
The reason it's easier to sell corporate on Fridays is that they leave work at 5, arrive at the ground at 6, have a meal, watch the game, it's all over by 10.
If they come Sunday afternoon, it takes all day up.

Nothing to do with the fact they can have a pint or ten and not worry about work the next day then?

You mean soccer ?
Not in summer.
Don't forget, we've tried
Monday nights
Tuesday nights
Wednesday nights
Thursday nights
Friday nights
Saturday mornings
Saturday afternoon
Saturday nights
Sunday mornings
Sunday afternoons
Sunday nights
over the years (and that's not counting midweek Bank Holiday afternoons and lunchtimes) so we have a wealth of information to consider.

| No, I mean football. Association football which is what the sport is called, soccer is an alternative name used in the USA and Australia primarily to distinguish between American Football and Aussie Rules respectively.
The football season overlaps with the rugby season for March (think we might have even played a couple of NRC games in February over the last couple of seasons), April, May, August and September.

| Throw everything at it yes Griff, but not at risk of the future of the club.
I agree, for me the CC is a worse place without Barrow and Toulouse. Both enjoyable away trips.

Toulouse yes, can't agree with Barrow being enjoyable. Takes a day and a half to get there (or at least it feels like that) and I've only ever seen us win once. And it's a dump, and I'm scared of seagulls crapping on me, and I got started on by a young spectacled chap with saliva running down his chin this season. Not one I'll be missing.

Soccer is of English Public Schools derivation, primarily to distinguish it from Rugger, which was the dominant code at the time.
