[iDoncaster have appealed against their three-point deduction handed out by the RFL for playing an ineligible player. The appeal will be heard tomorrow night.

Very strange. For me, Batley need to appeal - even though they have a worse case - because even three points might well be enough to tip them over the edge into the nuclear wasteland that is Div 3.

Dons, on the other hand, will probably pick up fourth anyway and have no need to roll the dice.

Any road - it's for them to decide.

Was Owlerton or out of town for us this season. When we got the opportunity to play at the stadium, we were hardly going to say no.

I agree re Owlerton however why cant we play at Bawtry Road until new stadium is built ? it said in the official match report for our recent home match against Rochdale it suited our expansive attacking style. Did anybody go ?

I think Batley may just be a little cautious and see what happens.

It's a superb facility is Bawtry Road, all standing so probably needs a seating stand, or at least some cover. Big pitch yes, suited us perfectly as you could probably guess by the result.

Can't see Bradford playing at Bawtry Road next season. Some of the less well supported clubs, perhaps. It needs some temporary seating, obviously. Facilities for the players are top notch. Facilities for the supporters probably bottom notch.

How long will they wait ? Till after the league season ends ? Till they know whether they need those three points back ?

There's a new road to Fev, following hard on them getting electricity and gas.

From J31, follow the road towards Linpac as usual. A few hundred yards before Linpac, there's a roundabout. Turn left onto t'industrial estate. Straight on for about a mile to the traffic lights outside the Fev Hotel. Turn right there, cross the level crossing, POR's on the left.

It seems Batley have appealed and it is being heard this afternoon - as with Doncaster.
