First game of the new season and first game back at Owleton - Rochdale Hornets come to town for a 2pm ko on Sunday.
Hopefully we'll start the season off in style in front of a decent crowd. Looking forward to seeing Ford and Hope in a competitive environment to see what they have to offer.

| Going to be a strange affair for the fans this game,a new start,new era,new everything,Any news on the pitch,possibly the wettest winter for sometime,can't have helped the pitch,surprised it's stood up to the rain,that's a good sign for the future,Rochdale supposed to have decent side this season,all the signs say Eagles should turn them over quite easily,1st game at new ground but rich dales 1st game back up and will want to spoil there party,they won't though Eagles 38 Rochdale 18 Eagles to runaway with it near the end,The 1st try back at Owlerton going to Menzie  |

That was my initial thought, once I knew Wednesday's match was off. Does raise a question of when it can be rearranged for though? Its either midweek sometime or one of the dates set aside for a Challenge Cup latter round I'd think? |

It won't be anytime soon that's for sure - if it's going to be midweek it will be in the summer when the days are longer.
Edit: to save Griff being pedantic, I am fully aware a day is 24 hours whatever time of the year it is.

Nonsense. The longest day is the last Sunday in October. It has 25 hours in it. 
I'd go for Round 5 day - if we're both out of the Cup. Alternatively, as ESO says, sometime in June.

Well at least Featherstone lost, Leigh won well at home to Batley and we be challenging for the league leaders shield with Featherstone and hopefully us
