Does finishing 3rd mean a euro trip?

It was based on what happened in the playoffs last year.

I.e. we finished 2nd technically by virtue of losing in the final.

2nd and 4th went to France (us and Fax) whilst 1st and 3rd stayed at home (Fev and Leigh.)

It could. The Leigh-Keighley game in hand distorts it slightly. One of those is going to win. Unless it's a draw, which would be even worse.

Good afternoon my feathered friends ,Charles Eusabio Peroni Caroli here , looking at the rest of the fixtures leads to a very intriging situation come seasons end , myself i think the Leythers will not lose another game this season , we have a much earned rest this week-end , Leighs first rest of the season , enabling us to get a fully fit squad for the Hunslet game , then its Hunslet away , Keighley away , Fax at home ,Keighley at home , Swinton at home , 5 wins jobs a good un , second place done and dusted , see you Seagulls at the LSV again play-off time .

I hope not, let somebody else get rid of the Eagles, we seem incapable against anyone in the playoffs but Sheffield especially!

Well i gave you 15pts in the guess work above - fancy you for at least 13pts - depends on the Leigh/Fax game (wasn't sure whether to give that game or to give it to Fax). Fax have an interesting run in with Leigh and Batley (at the Shay) to play. So could get 46pts rather than the 42pts I put above. The Fax v Batley game at the end of the season looks an intreging game.

Without meaning to be disrespectful to the Eagles and the Dogs who could both finish second (and Fev for that mater depending on how the games go) it may come down come down to pts difference with Fax and Leigh for second place with both teams on 44pts!

I fancied Leigh to win it at one stage but they've gone off the boil since their injuries, huge win last weekend though so that might get them back on track.

I think top two will be one stretch too far for us but if we finished 3rd I'd definitely fancy our chances of reaching the final eliminator at least.

3rd has a pretty good record of losing in Week 1 in recent years.

I can't even remember the last time I looked at the table. I don't even know what position we're in. We can't go up or down so who cares where we finish?

If we get in the top six, we're in the play-offs.
