Looking more over at MartyB and Griff, have you ever seen a 0-0? I'm pretty sure the lowest scoring Eagles game was our 3-0 defeat at Widnes in the late 90s, there was an academy final between Leeds and Hull about five years ago which finished 1-0.

Yes - the Hull v Halifax semi final in 1988. Halifax won the replay 4-3.

I don't expect to be seeing too many more .....

That 3-0 at Widnes was in 2001. The lowest score I've seen at an Eagles game was 10-6 at Dewsbury a few years back.

I thought it was after 2000 but I googled it and something said it was 98/99, should learn to trust my instincts!

It was certainly after we reformed.

I can recall a Floodlit Trophy game from the 1970's (Yes I AM old enough to vaguely remember it) ending 0-0. I think Salford were one of the competing teams. I did attend the Hull v Halifax game and the replay.

I seem to remember a game from Eagles first season, where we involved in a 8-6 win over Batley.

I've just checked the record books:

13.4.86-Eagles 8-6 Batley.
Scorers for Eagles: Try, Andy Dickinson. Goals, Roy Rafferty (2).
Crowd: 600-Owlerton Stadium.

Sad Nigel. Who needs ya !

Cheers Griff. Funnily enough, we lost in same season to Wakefield (a) by the same score. A year or two later, Eagles lost to Rochdale 2-7.
I must admit I can't find a lower score than the 0-3 defeat at Widnes, as far as Eagles are concerned.

Hi folks, I'm back online after an enforced absence due to changing internet supplier. Yes, I did go to the 0-0 draw between Halifax and Hull, and the replay. I also went to two 2-0s in my early days. Both were in the same season 1980/81 I think, and both involved Doncaster and Blackpool Borough.

Can't think of another game without a try.

I bet the 0-0's were actually pretty good games to watch.

It's hard to believe you'd get a 0-0 with games in the summer.

It would have to be early or late on in the season with atrocious windy, wet and muddy conditions where even a drop goal would be hard to complete.
