| Just for a bit of post-season fun, who is in your opinion the worst player to have pulled on the sacred red and gold jersey? (Or the various other colours we've worn.)
My vote has to go to the one and only Brad Hepi. The man was an absolute liability, every tackle he went into, whether he had the ball or was in defence, you just felt the referee's whistle was about to blow. I seem to remember his worst game was at Hilton Park/The Coliseum when he was sin binned at least once and gave away numerous penalties, having as big a hand as any Leigh player in contributing to our downfall and subsequent loss. I've tried to blank it out so my memories are only pretty vivid.
Over to you lot...

| Hepi was a legend!
There were a few dodgy players in the 2005 season!

| Hepi has the world's best ever mullet when he played for Carlisle Border Collies.
Absolute legend.

| As you know I was never a Gavin Brown fan but my vote here goes to Mick Doherty. Can't remember a worth while thing he ever did.
Also honourable mention to Matt Whitaker, who's only contributions to hames were to concede penalties. Once gave away 6 in one game at Batley.

| My vote goes to Simon Wray, a winger we had in 2000. He seemed to play in every game and I honestly can't remember him scoring a try. Certainly the slowest winger i've ever seen.

| I remember years ago we signed Adrian Shelford and he didnt play many games but came with a massive reputation (NZ international),Think we had him on loan,He was absolutly useless,I was only young but still can picture him in the games.

| Remember him quite well but we only had him for a small portion of one season probably 1990ish. I didn't rate him at all but as EB says he did have a massive reputation so he must have been a good player at some point.
Tragically died quite young (of a heart attack I think)

| He wasn't fit, mate. He'd been injured a long time and part of the reason for us getting a good deal is that Wakefield wanted to see how he went.
Another of our late players is a good candidate too. Not many will remember him - "Dallas" Donnelly. Played about half a game for us in 1985. Came highly recommended - ex-Test player for Australia, played with the Magpies for many years, but just too long in the tooth. Also, he wanted a boat-load of money in expenses as he was living in Southend at the time. He was found dead in the surf in Australia. Apparently had a heart attack whilst out for a run.

| I know it's a long time ago, but does anyone remember John Blazey? He was an Aussie we had for about a season and my abiding memory of him was one night we were going to an away game (possibly Swinton) on a coach. He was absolutely paralytic and his antics, whilst being amusing at first, quickly became annoying. He wasn't playing that night (obviously) but I don't remember him being a world beater.
