Great end to a fantastic season. Not that I was thinking that at half time. Great tackle by Q on Ben Black to prevent what could have been a match winning try to Batley. A pity that the trophy couldn't have been presented on the pitch so that we could all have shred in it.

From a fax fan, well done Eagles - a well coached, organised team but with plenty of flair as well. When you are at your best, only Fev can get close to you.

Other key thing is you have maintained a fairly consistent team over the last few years, and I assume there won’t be many changes next year, well you don’t need to. So I expect you to be up there again next year.

Well done Mark Aston, his passion for the club is clear to see plus I believe he’s the best tactical coach in this division by a country mile!!

Awful first half, had a horrible feeling we were going to finish runners up in all three competitions this year. Boys stuck at it though and won the game in a 15 minute period where we were simply unstoppable.

Different feeling to last year. More relief than euphoria but still thoroughly enjoyable!

Superb 2nd half performance by the boys Champions again. Well played Batley who dominated the 1st half however i was surprised by John Kears negative tactics kicking for 2 goals in the first half were they were the dominant team I would have thought at that stage of the game the best option would have been to go for tries at 12-0 at Half Time we knew we still had a chance but with a bit more positivity Batley should have been leading by at least 16 points at the half which probably would have won them the match.

Probably the most surprising aspect of the final was the attendance 6,300 only 1,000 fewer than last years final against featherstone i presume the figure also includes the Oldham v Rochdale final which as both clubs are quite close to leigh i guess that brought quite a few supporters

Many congratulations to Mark Aston and the Sheffield Eagles. Stunning second half where patience, determination and skill proves what can be achieved even when the opposition play well. Lets hope you get some good news on the 'home front' very quickly.

Yes mate it does include the Rochdale v Oldham attendance also the Leigh Miners v Wigan St Pats which wasn't to badly attended for an amateur final, still a good attendance though and I was there with a few other Leythers as well for all 3 games and enjoyed them all.
