| Difficult (in so many ways) match yesterday. They still appear to me to lack flair and inspiration, and do not feel like a team Some of the plays are repetitive and obvious. Still hopeful that we can only improve, not least as Featherstone next.

| Due to a family illness, couldn't get to the match yesterday. Maybe I should be grateful for that. I keep thinking that they can't play any worse than they did v. Whitehaven but from following the game on twitter I'm not so sure, even if they did win.
I suspect that they will have to up their game considerably against Featherstone next week.
Any idea what the attendance was?

| Attendance I think they said 412- I've played in front of bigger crowds when I was at uni. I agree with the first post-was a bloody hard watch yesterday in many ways. Rubbish crowd but it's tough to get to. Those there really were the proper fans.
I've seen us lots down the years, barely missed one in our last year at Don Valley then for various reasons, only saw a couple last couple of years. To me yesterday, they looked a bit less fit now they're full time?! Maybe still readjusting to their schedule & overtraining a bit?? I don't know- seemed a lot of missed tackles & worse, given up tackles
Swinton really weren't that nice- some dirty stuff going on, conduct I wouldn't associate with our game, glad we beat 'em! Thought QLT looked low on confidence but had a strong 2nd half, Menzie is just Menzie but definitely his trademark big hits were lacking...maybe some of the legends are aging a wee bit, & the others aren't quite Eagles yet. Cory Aston seems to get a lot of abuse

| There was a lot of competition for the sports spectator pound on saturday at Hillsborough all seats £20 got 30K and the Steelers in a must win game £17 got 9K only the die hard fan would pay £15+ for an early stage challenge cup game against a team we should have won by 20+ points not sure who done the schedule but we have the next 4 possibly 5 games away from home

on current form I can only see us beating Oldham and thats not a gimme with further difficult home games in april against London and Dewsbury our Top 4 dreams could already be over by the end of next month !!!
