I can't recall seeing so many errors on the first and second tackle.I was going to write,'for a long time',but it is 'ever'.
I think our completion rate,in the first half,was about as high as the number of points Leigh have scored in the second half of their home 'qualifiers' games.
Still,weather conditions taken into consideration - allowing Murrel to play in a dinner jacket - improving in the second half again - demonstrating that work does take place on the training field with another pin-point accurate kick for try-scorer to clutch and score;this time to the right while at Widnes to the left,made for an exciting game (finish) which deserved far more through the turnstiles.
Really pleased for the benefactors,sponsors,coaching staff,players and supporters.Really sets up the remaining games.
I was going to do my ironic #Don'tSackRowley song,pinched from a song sung by Sunderland people,with the 'Yorkshire conspiracy' nonsense in mind.But,having read a Leigh follower suggesting the Salford defeat yesterday was due to *Hockgate* then obviously the conspiracy theorists of Leigh may have spoilt it.( I'll try my hand at Facebook....it's worth waiting for
)
Well done players.Great spirit.* Only thing that spoiled it was the very late hit,well after the ball had gone - when Richie Moore tried to break Scott Turner in half.Not nice and presumably not seen by any official.*
