Hunslet came out fighting to void relegation, which I believe they did with the bonus point. Eagles came out with next Wednesday on their minds or maybe they just played badly. They have after all, with the 2 Cup runs, played more matches than anyone else, many at the back end of the season so maybe the odd poor game isn't so surprising and at least they won.

Wasn't vintage but good win in the end - credit to Hunslet they were excellent, much better than when we played them earlier in the season.

We've won every home league game this season. Fantastic achievement.

I presume 2 go down this season if so Hunslet are favs to go down (they are level on points with Barrow who play home Keighley and Hunslet are home to Featherstone) looks like its going to be an interesting last day of the season with 5 teams in relegation trouble

Hunslet came and used spoiling tactics, slowing the p.o.b. down, late tackles(used to be known as flopping!), must have paid Ronnie to forget his specs and then we had Eagles doing the usual of not performing well against teams in the bottom half of the league........... but hey ho, they won and that is what counts..............


That's the 115th game won by Eagles at DVS out of 188 played since the rebirth ................ so in excess of 61% win ratio............ that will do for me....

Really enjoyed the game despite an under par performance it was tense and to be honest i really thought we would lose at one stage a really good 10-15 minutes in the second half where the play of the ball + shifting the ball out of dummy half was much quicker and just generally more urgency about us won it for us, credit to Hunslet for getting there bonus point but the last try we conceded was so soft though

An enjoyable night all round and a decent crowd
