I was at Featherstone and it was Batley who had rested the most players (at least 8 ) while Fev had 2 or 3 of their first choices missing.

Batley completely bossed the game after going 8-0 down. Better completion and dominant in the collision in what were truly horrendous conditions. It was like being back in the 1970s, with some fighting thrown in, and a red card for punching.

Tangi Ropati played on the wing for Fev, as did Danny Mills for Batley.

We were going to go to Featherstone but the weather put us off. Sounds like a decent game.

Featherstone have some disciplinary issues at the moment. A few up before the committee this week after the Fax game and Spears will be out for a while after re-arranging Mennel's face yesterday.

When we lost at Skolars 6-16 in 2004 or 2005 (awaits correction) it was absolutely bucketing it down and the pitch was just about unplayable. So it is a great leveller, especially down there where the pitch is terrible even before it rains.
