Quote: SaintsFan "That's a real shame. Has your support slipped directly due to your guys not yet pulling off a win or was it around the same while you were in the Championship leagues? If you have about 1500 regular fans who turn up win or lose then that's a good base to build on in the coming years, especially once the wins do start coming (which they will, unlikely though it may seem right now). Once Welsh guys are integrated into the team then that should trigger more support. I'm sure the club is doing everything right it just needs the team to get that break.[/quo

I think the support has slipped cause we haven t won a game yet the welsh public are pretty fickle like that it has been the same with other sports over the years.

1) I am £500 into my overdraft
2) I am at University
3) I'm revising for four exams on the 11th, 12th, 13th and 15th of May, respectively.
4) Did I mention I have no money?'"

I'd much rather concentrate on my studies than be working 3/4 days a week. Also, have you noticed that we seem to be in a deep recession, where jobs are hard to come by nowadays?

I was at the match your team looked very tired the last 15 minutes and that I think is your problem, After the way you played yesterday a win is not far away but you have to start to play for the full 80 minutes
I think that most people that were there would agree that it was in the last 15/20 minutes that Cas got the better of you

To be honest, I think support slips everywhere when teams don't win over a longer period. Just the hardy determined souls remain through thick and thin. At least, that's my observation of sports support anyway. I suppose your closest rivals Salford have the advantage of a coach who has experienced Superleague before (with us) and so he can dip into experience and memories and contacts to enable his team to reach the levels of fitness and such like required in this league. Although I think he was coming in for some serious abuse just before Salford clinched a first win against an established SL side. But I reckon it will be tougher still for Dixon because he hasn't been here before.

But it's good that you are seeing some improvement in your team as time passes. If they can keep going for the full 80 and get their defence sorted (Dixon commented that their defence wasn't yet up to what was needed) then that should be the turning point. As I said earlier, I hope that a win will come soon and perhaps some of those fickle fans will return.

Good for you. I don't want to be in my overdraft coming out of Uni, and to be fair, getting a decent degree is more important than a trip to Wales. Rugby is part of my life. Getting a decent degree IS my life.

Your forwards were brilliant on sunday i thought, your not far off and i can see you winning a few games this season, it can be hard to keep the faith when your team loses game after game but the bad times just make the good times that little bit sweeter.

Your fans and the people at the pub round the corner were very welcoming too, i'm already looking forward to next years trip.

Only negative for me is the fact there are no student concessions.

Best of luck for the rest of the season.

In our first year we had the same problem, the last 10 minutes of each half we would ship about 10-20 points.

Yeah well said saints fan you talk a lot of sense and you seem genuinely interested in us being successful where most of the people that use this web site are waiting for us to fail.
