TBH is wasnt the best stadium ive ever been to but it wasnt the worst nosireebob. I really enjoyed the game, met some really nice people and had loads of good natured banter with the Gwent-Dragons old boys. It isnt just the stadium that makes a great day its the craic that goes with it and believe me, walking down to Rodney parade was a helluva lot safer than having to have a police escort away from a certain 2 clubs up here.

You certainly would have expected the Crusaders to have been among the interested parties discussing a new stadium in Newport.

We didnt need to we have this www.islandfarm.tv/ with rumours going around down here that it is very close to being accepted and also the people who are in charge of this project have put a bid in to buy the club this week

Funnily enough I thought you'd be expert at some kind of wrist action but wasn't that one.

| Long before the Crusaders were linked to playing at Rodney Pararde, the ground was scheduled for up grade. and we were only there for two years with the Bridgend development on going. These facts were in the media, and I am surprised thatit is still a topic. Although I live in Wales I had never ben to Rodney Parade but I enjoyed the Leeds game there, and personally thought the Newport ground though clearly dated, had a good atmosphere and certainly was an improvement on many league grounds I could mention.

Under their present management, I can't see them ever returning to Bridgend.

That would be fantastic if they did.

Yes, Brakla not Island Farm though I don't think many people thought that Crusaders would return to Bridgend once they were to be "temporarily" based in Newport.
Unless Brewery Fields do buy the club out, I don't think they will ever go back to Bridgend.

| To tell the truth , if any of the ' rumours ' are based on any sort of fact , the possible refurbishment of the Newport Ground or the river island project are the least of the Crusaders problems at the moment

rodney parade is a nice, compact ground with a good atmosphere generated by anything over 4k (league obviously not union which struggles to create atmosphere with 80k!) - easy to get a pint, friendly people bit ramshackle but proper rugby place.
