THis came as a massive shock, I genuinely haven't seen or heard a single rumour of this anywhere before the announcement. Nobody saying I told you so.

I feel for the fans and the players. The players I suppose are in the same situation as a lot of people lately whose employers have gone belly up, which is not pleasant. Sad for the fans too.

It will now be interesting to see whether the club survive in some form next year, but a lot of people better placed than me seem to regard it as unlikely. I would have liked to see the Welsh experiment work. Pity.

I think the crusaders board have brought sone dignity to the process, something the RFL never could.
Hopefully under their own steam, they will go onto develop their club, it's just a shame that it took the board to do the job the RFL should have.

The sentiment of trying to build a Rugby League team in Wales is a good one. But the RFL pushed you guys into Super League far too quickly. You would have benefited from 3 years in the Championship in 2008 and might have been in a better position financially and with a better fan base, and may have been successful this time around, had they done this. Now Rugby League is left with egg on their face and a lot of disgruntled fans and players. Good luck for the future

This would be the same board who, just a few short months ago, made an application complete with a business plan that was allegedly good enough for another three years in SL? That board? The same who only withdrew their application at the last minute after talks with the RFL?

It wasn't the speed of entering SL that was the problem. It was the inability to see what a cowboy the first owner was, and seemingly the second set are little better.

Incompetent management at the top level did for Crusaders, not their entry into SL.

Yeah, had the administration been competent in the first place there was no reason it couldn't have been a success. Equally, had the Wrexham administrators been competent then there was no reason that it couldn't have been a success in the North. Playing for three more years in the Championship wouldn't have changed anything, it's nothing to do with speed of entry and everything to do with diabolical administration, the club have been extremely unlucky in that the owners in both the North and the South have been crooks.You are a buffoon.

Is everyone sure that Crusaders are even going to be around to play in the Co-Op Championship next year. The RFL wording of earlier seemed to suggest it wasnt exactly a given, and I'm sure that administration has been mentioned again.

Gutted for both fans & players as I would have been if Wakey had got the chop.

I know how I felt when Widnes were excluded last time, but I didn't blame another club, the decision was made by the jokers at the RFL.

There are a lot on here blaming the board both old & new which has most likely contributed to Cru's downfall but they are not soley to blame.

The RFL fast tracked them yes, to soon? Probably but the warning about their ground etc meant they had to move & lose the fan base they had.

We all know if you don't get them through the turnstiles you will never have the money needed to compete.

It's all ifs & buts but imo they may have been better staying in south Wales with the fanbase they had & building on that maybe moving to a football or rugby union ground down there.

If they hadn't made the grade for a sl licence then at least they would be able to field a team in the lower leagues, which at present looks uncertain to say the least.

I know this is all in hindsight & to be honest I don't know all the facts. But from what I think I know the RFL have to take the majority of the blame for this situation as they didn't stand up to Sky & tell them it was to soon for Cru to enter sl.

I wish Cru & its fans the best of luck & perhaps in 3 to 6 years you can reapply, not sure you will be playing in Wrexham though, word is the ground will be sold to the Uni.
