1) only have an empty ground when crusaders, quins and catalans come! Our average gate is around 7k (which should be better!!) in a ground that holds 10k, 70% occupancy, +30% more than SL franchise rules.
even your team didn't manage to turn up in time for the kick off at Wrexham, our team had fallen asleep hours before your team showed up.
2) We have a ground for this season, obviously our hopes for 2012 have hit the buffers however we have an agreement to play at "a" ground that meets SL standards for 3 years.
your ground was built long before the arrival of the Celtic Crusaders in Bridgend, so you can't land that one on us
3) we have the amount of money we have, end of, we employ players and staff we can afford, we don't need £700k of RFL employees to keep us going (god we could do with it!!)
make up your mind, you " don't need it but could do with it"?
4) we have to stay within RFL guidelines, crusaders have their own, and have not been punished for their "illegal aliens"
fine for one player only
5) if only we could be bankrolled by the RFL or anyone!!!!
in 3) you suggested you didn't need or want any help from the RFL
6) the debts re HMRC are regarding image rights, this will affect all clubs, to a greater or lesser extent. We were picked first as one of the weeker clubs, they wouldn't of tried it with Leeds, Wigan, Saints etc.
maybe
The only reason crusaders are in SL is because it is the wish of SL, if it was down to a level playing field they would never have made SL, if it was down to fair play and a promotion and relegation system, they wouldn't have lasted, FACT!!!!
or your "educated guess"
Rant over.'"
thank goodness for that
