i like the direction UTC is undertaking and with all French kids, getting very interesting to watch

pity my old mate cos' you missed a really good game - fair result in the end though a couple of dodgy reffing decisions at the end could have made it interesting
UTC looked good which is testimony to how well TO13 are playing at the moment - it was great to see an all french UTC line-up (I think ?) with TR overseing the brilliant Steve Deakin who was his usual true gent and gave the praise to the best team - so many good performances from ALL the 34 players but regarding UTC I have to make a special mention of William Barthau who was genial with Antoni Maria looking awesome at prop - Morgan Escaré must be the natural successor to Greenshields,this kid has everything - a preivelege to watch.The mercurial Tony Gigot visibly (and verbally) unhappy at being placed in the second row played really well and looked the part using his SO skills at times to great effect.
tried to convince SD to put in his application for the vacant post at the FFR but said he was 'too old' - seems the perfect choice to me - so it looks like JK then ?

it would be great to see you over here for a game - we have loads of accommodation...
TO13 have a decent squad and the atmosphere is great at the moment with the new aussies setling in well - Johnathan Ford is the poor mans Leon Pryce and the others are quality too - Guy Williams is deceptive in the second row,he does loads of work without getting the praise of the more 'sexy' positions on the field.Strange to see Tony Gigot also wearing the no.12 shirt - he played really well and would be a good replacement in the Catalans first team in case of injury to Menzies etc.
Great cameo from Barthau who looks the real deal - just a pity he washrown in at the deep end by Walters when he was too young for the responsability - he could fill in for Dureau now in case of injury,no problem !
Smashing kid too who always takes the trouble to say hello to all the old fogies like me - I really hope he makes it.
Glad you still enjoy the reports - hopefully Brian will be available to provide a report for the big one next weekend at Avignon - I wish I could but it's an eight hour drive or me and I have to work on the monday.
Spoke with Nathan at Lezignan who says they made far too many handling errors against Pia and didn't deserve to win - it seems Tony Duggan,the FB suffered a broken jaw from a dangerous tackle not spotted by the ref !!! who was the ref ? .....none other than Mr Alibert !!!

still can't believe the Avignon result !
Lezignan held on with a weakened side but Tony Duggan is back this weekend with Jye Mullane a week later though Nathan Wynn is going to be out for another month at least
ASC seem to have the momentum at the moment but it appears to be a four horse race,at least !
