There is a train that runs from barcelona to perpignan I used it twice in 2008.

Will be arriving in Perpignan on Thursday 17th June. I see that France's world cup game is on that evening, against Mexico, and it would be great to watch it in a French bar with loads of locals. Where would be best/safest place to watch it in Perpignan?

When you say 'what route' do you mean by air, rail, road? Flights into Perpignan, Girona, Carcassonne and transferring with our good friends at rlCatalan Sport Toursrl are all plans (memo to self: check that Dave picks up in Carca)

You can fly Doncaster or Manchester to Girona with Ryanair. There's a direct bus from Girona airport to Perpignan.
