| Weird game, Leeds was very strong in defence tonight, we aren't good but aren't bad too. Stacul just came back from a long time injury, he wasn't at his best on the wing. Cardace need experience on the wing, especially in defence (position and kicks).
Why all the English fans are booing Pryce ? Is he considered as a traitor ? Leon is pure class
Rhinos, see you at Brutus

| Disappointing result, but Leeds put in a very good shift and deserved the win.

It's Leon's cheap-shot past. I personally have never liked him since he snuck up behind Sir Kevin and punched him with no warning at Valley Parade in a Challenge Cup game many years ago.

best team won by a mile against a badly organised Catalans outfit
badly organised why ?
Cardace lacks experience at this level and should never have been put in the squad against such a quality team - a similar nightmare perfromance dogged William Barthau a couple of years ago which dented his confidence
Why was player of the season Baitieri relegated to the bench with Sa looking a dogs dinner at LF ? Sa has excelled at Centre and was needed there against the likes of the superb BJB & Hall
the forwards lacked discipline again with needless offloads by Paea a Fakir and Stacul looked out of his depth coming back from injury
No criticism of Fisher who has done well but Pelissier has to be the better option and offers more zip which was sadly lacking
Losing Clint & Thomas exposed us big time but well done Rhinos against a sterile opposition - a thoroughly professional job

| Catalans had 8 injured for Leeds match[iGreenshields,
Bosc, Blanch, Baile, Vaccari
Mounis,
Ferriol, Pelissier[/i
Also, Millard is more effective at centre.
So what chance do Catalans have to beat Leeds with with so many injuries, especially weak wings ? Stacul mistake in dropping the Sinfield kick gives Leeds a soft try. Cardace knocked on a Leeds high kick earlier also.
Just having Bosc, Blanch, Greenshields and Pelissier in the team, with Millard at centre, would have changed almost everything in this game.
Plus Menzies dropped the ball twice in attack, once when he was almost through Leeds defence and had a supporter running on inside. Very unusual mistakes by Menzies. If Menzies passes the ball to support then Catalans 12-12. Instead soon after the Menzies mistake Leeds scores a try.

| If Catalans have Greenshields, Bosc, Blanch and Pelissier for the return match in Stade Gilbert Brutus, then Catalans is a different team and I am sure that Catalans will defeat Leeds.
Best Catalans team should be[iGreenshields
Blanch, Duport, Millard, Bosc,
Pryce
Dureau
Mounis
Menzies, Anderson
Casty, Henderson, Paea[/i
Interchange[iBaitieri, Pelissier, Ferriol, Fakir[/i

Not being booed because he has left England. He has a rep as a cheap shot merchant, he also played for BRADfud and saints not Leeds fans favourite few teams

You play what is front of you.
Leeds also had Burrow,Watkins,JJB and Hauraki missing.
For what it`s worth both teams will get better. Not sure why Greenshields is so unhappy with the ref last night.
Both teams were guilty of lying on and Thaler gave you a raft of penalties to help you get on the scoreboard. He also missed a blatant high shot by Pryce the prick on Hall.
But all in all he reffed it better than some I have seen.
Good luck for the rest of the season.

Not quite so simple John. A factor yes, but not the whole story. I think Leeds' (and other fans') dislike of Pryce came from the 'cheap-shot' reputation and arrogance which was much more apparent during his Saints' career.
A quick glance at the 'controversies' section of his Wiki page gives more than a clue.

| I really don't care if he's Attila The Hun or Vlad The Impaler as long as he produces the goods on the pitch !
speaking of which, the jury is still out in my case.....
