If we have a good French player in that position, why bring in someone better? Obviously it's nice to have the best players available, but we need to prioritise the voids that need to be filled.

Obviously I don't know what our reserves look like. A year ago J-P Baile was making the 19 but not starting for several matches, now he's a first-teamer. If Bartheau does the same and we have a pacey academy player in line then maybe signing this guy is the right move. If however we find ourselves with two good players vying for the same position and no-one to fill a key gap, then we look really stupid.

If we keep him he'll be on the wing, where Duport used to play. I can see Sa being a centre and competing with Mogg/Raguin/Baile. Obviously Mogg will also be looking at being in the halves, hopefully with some competition from Bartheau/Guash/Gigot.

Not good enough. 10 French eligibles but 13 forrigners, that's moving backwards on the developing French players front. Sa is a Bacrow/Centre, like Raguin. I think he's compettition for the other Backrow or Centres, but a definate? Interesting choice to put Fakir as a prop (have we lost Guisset then?) and Johnson & Raguin second row (so not the position they've played in a year) over Elima (!) and Fakir - I suppose it's to fit Mounis into the side?

Not lost guisset, but what we lacked at times last year was when Guisset and Ryles went off we struggled when Casty and Ferrioll didn't quite play at that level, to split those two up this year is a must for me this year.



Fakir in the front row, he's big and aggressive enough so why not, lets use a bit of his mobility and ability to find the floor on his front. Elima off the bench, Raguin is not a centre, where do you suggest he plays? Johnson is a back-rower, whats the difference between a 13 and a second-rower anyway?

For the Record I'd go with a bench of Carlaw, Elima, Casty and Guisset. If you want to play Elima from the start, Raguin IMO doesn't bring enough from the bench so put Kane there.

That still leaves the likes of Gossard, Touxagas, Andrew and Martins to come in!
