Catalans coach is mad to risk star players. Not that there is much chance of them geting bashed around. But an ACL or even a hamstring can go without even being touched by the other team.
Like I proposed the club should mix a core of 7 or 8 first choice players and give the reserves a run in the other 9 positions. It doesn't matter how much Catalans win by since for and against don't count in the CC. Play safe should be the selection rule.

If that is the situation with York, then I was being too generous to predict a 52-12 victoire. Perhaps 72-6 might be closer to the mark?

I wish Id have had the time to read this yesterday. Catalan were -64 on the coupon. With such an inexperienced york side away from home this was the proverbial banker.
92-8 was the final score and so we are in the QF's again.

| Main thing now is to get a home game draw.
Second thing is not to draw Huddersfield, Wigan or Warrington -- the other teams would be no threat at Gilbert Brutus.
Semi finals will be at a neutral venue.

| That was hard on York. Nice words on Twitter from the Dragons players in regard of York's effort, but for a multitude of reasons, a scoreline like that was almost bound to happen. I hope York come away with something positive from it and that it wasn't a wasted experience.
Next round: At home would be a huge boost.
When is the next round anyway? (he says, full well knowing that he's already online and could just look it up)

| A win is a win for us at the moment.
Anyone at home in the draw at 1330 would be a result.

It seems as if nobody knows when it will be. A contact has just been on the phone to the RFL and reports that the commercial director is "in discussions" over where, when, how. In discussions? It should have been sorted months ago.

| Cup draw on Saturday on BBC Breakfast, "between 7 and 9am". That really the best they can do? Unspecified slot in a 2-hour period, a week after the previous round. Pathetique

| Gawd, this was miles down the forum. I do think the yawning gap between rounds - and the yawning gap between the games being played and the draw being made - has helped the competition to lack almost all context. It made sense when you had one round per month leading up to the final. What happened to that idea? Anyway...
Presumably Blanctete is cup-tied, Bousquet and Pala are suspended and the injuries are as they were. Hull just in a bit of a sticky patch - competing, but finding ways to lose. Basically, I'm saying it could go either way.
