Had Pelissier played out his planned spell, then Catalans would have gone on to win the game comfortably because not only would he have capitalised on Catalans dominance of the ruck in the first 30mins and improved it with his lively, energetic and improvisational dummy-half play, Henderson would have also been fresh at the back end of the game.

Consequently, Heremia's performance would have been negated considerably and FC's go-forward would have suffered.

If you can't post a counter argument then you're welcome to concede that you don't have one.

Agreed J, I felt confident prior to the game and was going to suggest we dropped the old daunting "in-joke" for this season and so felt even more confident during most of the first 40 yesterday

I thought we were looking good in patches, but the same old problems with discipline. Momentum changed and Hull took control, I thought Whiting was superb for Hull in that spell and I suppose we did well to claw our way back into the game.

The frightening thing is that Catalans were still in the game despite only winning around 10% of the rucks, even when leading in the first half, Hull dominated the wrestle and the Catalans 'peel' was virtually non-existent. This allowed Hull attackers straight up to play the ball without the Catalans defenders being set in markers or the defensive line. As a result we were always on the back foot and Hull marched us up the field repeatedly.

That we were still in the game (thank you Westerman) was a miracle in itself, had we snatched a point, I would have gone straight to the bookies to get the odds on Hull finishing outside the eight as to have so much of an advantage and not win a game is pretty much criminal.

You really do post some rubbish. The determining factor in the game was the kicking conditions. If we'd kicked all ours we'd have won. If Bosc had kicked more, they'd have won. Simple as that.
