| Just got back from the game, FCL played well, Whitehaven were shocking, the scoreline flatters them. They got two tries fairly late on.

| Yes they are well off in the front row with Phil, Griffi, Rovira & young Bousquet. A 4th round tie against the Dragons would be a tasty prospect

you could say that, the 1st three, loads of experience and bousquets a big boy, and fairly mobile!

It would, but I would prefer to see both progress further in the comp, we lost Toulouse today.

| A pleasure as always Mr Dobson.
A fair old wait on our hands until round four, May 7th to be exact.
Part of me would like to see FCL draw a reasonable quality side at home, they would surely pull a good crowd, but from a selfish point of view, It would be nice for them to get drawn away in a winnable game again and have another look at them.

Does kind of beg the question as to whether Toulouse were the correct choice for the championship. Each of the three Aude clubs is getting better crowds in the LER than TO are in the championship and FCL probably have the better squad? Carcassonne may well finish this season with a higher average attendance than any British championship club.
Obviously Toulouse has everything going for it in terms of sponsorship, big city potential and they've got funding to revamp the ground - but it's hard to argue that they're France's 2nd club at the moment.

I agree Jon, and you have stated the obvious reasons why Toulouse were the better candidates for the championship. You have to ask though if the seperate entities of Lezignan or Carcasonne would have been getting such crowds if they were in the championship, sitting at mid table, like Toulouse have.
Maybe one of the reasons the 3 Aude clubs are getting good support is because they are all doing well in the LER at the moment
Perhaps the TO public have gone stale in the championship, most people, me included thought they would do better in the league.
There's a part of me would love to see FCL or ASC in the championship, or an algamated club, but would feel that would be a large nail driven into the LER as the Aude rivalry is one of the best things about the league at the moment.
