I agree with what your saying but in practice there is no-one at either club with the talent (on the day) as Maxime.
Not only that but we have seen how the time when LER finishes and the International comps start is a disadvantage for the French.'"
Agreed, for the mid-season they could try up and coming french fly-halves from UTC/TO or one of the many Mikaels.
If Maxime wants to give the international matches a decent shot he should try his hand at TO or as a short-term siging to another Cahmpionship/SL club. Likewise any other "promising" LER player.

| I can't think of why a French player would want to rot in the NRL, SL is slow enough for them already compared with the LER style.

| I dunno about Wakey-Fev. Atm Kear has an injury crisis on his hands nd a short-term signing spree from the LER would not go amiss, but he has no need of a halfback.
A number of Championship clubs have opened their eyes to the potential of Fijian and Papuan players, they may well see value in signing an LER player for a month or two. Obviously Fev and Wakey have been involved in this in the past, but it would make sence for a number of other sides too.

Guisset already has played for the Canberra Raiders. Bosc, Fakir and Ferriol would walk into an NRL side, and the others probably. (Wayne Bennett was amazed at Fakir's perfomance for France vs Australia in 2004 -- I know because I was there and he told me so).

I wouldn't say "walk", but, yes, I think they'd make the grade. Obviously they would have to adapt to the new style of play that they have down under first. Mounis could, but I think that Bosc and Fakir are more likely to be seen as the sort of star player that is worth buying in. Ferriol and Mounis are good enough, but are they better than the local home-grown talent?

also, does that mean that croker, mogg and mcguire will also be frenchophied by the end of the year?

| I think you have to apply to be "frenchophied", but with only Greenshields saying he would like to.
I would not see why we would want Mogg and MaGuire in the French squad, it would be a move in the wrong direction.

Does Greenshields have a French girlfriend, like Murphy did?

| Interesting, he could then apply for a passport by marriage - possibly why he may be eligible for the mid-season?
