| From the Catalans website and on Twitter
This morning, following the anticipated return in France, the Chairman Bernard Guasch and some members of the Board have mutually agreed with Laurent Frayssinous to part company.
Dragons will be led by assistants Jérôme Guisset and Michael Monaghan, as well as General Manager Alex Chan on an interim basis.

| Crikey.
I feel for him. Seems like a genuine nice bloke. Perhaps a change was needed, some players really need to pull their heads in now and a reaction is needed.
I mean Frayssinous isnt responsible for Inu making that dire pass in his own 20 yesterday. Plus he has been unlucky with injuries. I am not entirely convinced this was the right decision but we will see in the coming weeks.

| Hopefully the sacked manager syndrome will kick in now and we will go on an unbeaten run.
Something had to change but not sure if this is the right answer, we will soon see.
Has anyone got any ideas for possible replacements ?

| I would have agreed with Lewis9966 until the last 2days .Firstly 9 of the 12 teams have focussed on producing skilled athletic teams-and St. Helens have shown that you can become one with a new coach-rather than using the outmoded "down the middle with brute force " that characterises us.I don't think that some of the players-Duport Moa Casty Garcia- will be able to change, but we are too easy to defend against.Secondly we have lost confidence and cannot convert a lead into a win as the last 4 defeats prove.Injuries to key players like Wiliame and Anderson who know how to score tries have not helped. But the simple truth is that we are ponderous and predictable.Remember that we have only won 25% of our last 28 games.Quite why the other coaches are keeping their jobs is a mystery

| Looking at the French forum L.F. has been suspended not dismissed. There may be contractual issues or he may be willing to coach at a lower level.I suspect that he is a nice man who needed to be much nastier.

25% of the last 28 games is a telling statistic. They will try get in an NRL assistant coach I reckon.

| I desperately wanted Laurent to succeed. However I think the writing was on the wall after the capitulation at Hull the week before.
It's a massive call on the next coach and I have no ideas and/or suggestions as to who it might be. I'd still like to see a director of football as well.

| As a DoF, absolutely. Not sure he's coach material any more though. I'd like it to be someone young, dynamic and forward-thinking, but that might be a pipe-dream. And again, I don't know of anyone who particularly fits that bill.

| That is why I am surprised he has gone.
Unless Guisset and Bosc have come across so well in their work under the first team that the club felt it had to get them in place?

| Mick Potter and Scott Dureau are both assistant coaches at Newcastle. I could see them being interested.
