What did you tell them?
I was not at all happy about the state of mind in which the group has evolved this year. It was abandoned too quickly. It was going too fast in loose our deck. lThere were signs in 2009 and we, the leaders, should have been more attentive. For 2010 it is still degraded. I congratulated some players, but I also addressed to those who were, in my opinion, bad example. Do not expect me to give the names publicly. I also requested internationals to be well treated and well rested. To take advantage of the offseason to recharge mentally and physically. Six players are also put to rest by the club doctor - it would involve Gossard, Bosc, Raguin, Ferriol, Mounis, Fakir.

As a prelude to the season, you fix a final goal. What can we say about 2010?
Oh, well it's not complicated... It is a total failure.

Whose fault?

The end of 2009 season with a semifinal and three exploits masked a dull season. I think he then lost control of the group.

What is your best and worst memories of the season?
The best thing is the victory at St. Helens (30-20 July 9). The worst is defeat against Huddersfield last Saturday (12-26).

Is there a player you go out from the crowd?
There was one who held the house from beginning to end, is Remi Casty. He confirmed that it was a true pillar of Super League to 25 years. He must be confirmed to be a leader.

And players who have disappointed you?
Among those who were disappointed, some will not be here next season.

Have you completed the recruitment?

Not at all. In addition to Henderson, Dureau, Baitieri, Duport and Ancely, we just signed for two years with Paea and are going to do with Ben Farrar, a three-quarters of 24-year marker tests. There is still entitled to a estranger if we keep Sa. We are a few English tracks and two in Australia. At a minimum, we have three more recruits, a forward, a three-fourths, a winger.

And young?

I am now very sorry for them. I think they're cynical this is normal, but always faithful. They were still 5000 for the last game.

The quality of the eight finalists is constantly growing. It is homogeneous. I see that Hull KR and the Crusaders below.

Concerning resting players, it is Guasch whos ordering the rest, not a doctor. Only Bosc is injured & Jamel is the only certainty to play out of those resting

My money is on Elima. Though Guash's statement of 'four didn't turn up, three who were excused and Kane..." might suggest otherwise. He's such a good kid I'd strongly doubt it.

And BG disses some of the players, a number of whom are leaving the club. Which of the outgoing players let us down?

can't think of too many failures this season amongst those leaving in fact all of them did ok considering the depleted sides KW had to put out due to injuries/disciplinary reasons etc
Birdy was great until getting an offer he couldn't refuse,Moggy did his job,Kane was one of my players of the season,Andrew did ok when he was given the chance,Steve B played better in 2010 than in 2009 imo,Elima was rock solid as usual and always tried to drive the side to the max,Casey was as steady as ever,Chris did ok the few times he played and that leaves Dallas who was utterly brilliant ! has there ever been a better tackler at the Gilbert Brutus ? Brent came in and did an excellent job in difficult circumstances.
A lot of what BG said was correct but some of it was garbage or just plain unfair - KW didn't so much lose the dressing room - the rapport between him and BG was strained which affected the whole squad imo.
BG,the worst memory isn't the defeat against the Giants - the Dragons were not disgraced just outplayed by the better side on the day - imo the Crusaders game was a ridiculous game to lose

Wigan away. Worst I've felt after a game in many years.

Valium helps in these situations John_D,especially when taken with a glass or two of red - mind you,they were brilliant v the Wires at Aimée Giral so it wasn't ALL bad !
