I think that defence is the most important part of the game.I also think that Escare is by far the worst defensive full back in superleague and that all our opponents being well aware of this target him.He is poor under the high ball ,a weak tackler ,and is not able to read a game. I know that he scores some exceptional tries , but he does far more harm than good.
How is Escare targeted?
A, High balls sent to wherever he is standing
B Tough tackles when he runs the ball out defence and never passes
C Kicks between the centre and the winger in the certain knowledge that Escare will not read the move and get across -in the recent Wigan game this led to 2 tries and would have led to a third if Sigismau of all people had not done Escare's job and covered right across the field
D when 5 metres from the Catalan line direct the attack to wherever Escare is.
Escare reminds me of Jamie Foster a St. Helens wonder boy who was found out in defence and ditched
