yes,Steve officially retired from the game - he,his good lady & two kids are spending a couple of months touring france and will return to aussie in november - Steve will esume his career as an electrician and his wife is a teacher - thanks & good luck to them all
his brilliant try in the corner v the Wires at the Giral (from the BS kick ?) was one of the few highlights of a low-key season for the team

I wish them all the best, but I can't help thinking we didnt see the real Steve Bell at Dragons.

totally agree - he had some really good performances mixed in with some ordinary stuff _ he enjoyed his time in france with the family & club & teammates etc tho' he never really felt 'accepted' by the fans,if you get my drift - he didn't feel he was appreciated which maybe a

The expectation level was high, justifiably so. He didn't live up to those expectations. No wonder the fans weren't chuffed. I know I wasn't.
