| We've been there ourselves so know what your team is going through but thought you was better then last season and just thought you tired after going uphill in the first half.

| Do Wigan Bulldogs still play on that pitch by the DW sports centre near the stadium?
NWC has it as "Scot Lane, Stadium Way, WN5 0UN", while LeagueRepublic has it as "William Foster Playing Fields, Ince, Wigan".
Any ideas?

| Wigan Bulldogs 32 - 26 Bury Broncos
We travelled with 8 first-teamers out and a few drafted in this morning as cover, but the boys put in a good effort. We took the lead, went behind, took the lead again and went behind but came close to nicking it at the end. Must admit one of Wigan's tries was from a baaaad forward pass but fair dos they ground it out and kicked a few penalties to gradually take the lead. We scored a few nice tries today; all in all it was a belting game, and Wigan were gracious in victory.
Other results (my predictions went to sht!!):
Bolton Mets 24 - 26 Westhoughton Lions (good win Lions!)
Chorley Panthers 6 - 36 St Helens Wild Boar
Eccleston Lions 28 - 30 Rylands Sharks A (tough to win at Eccy)
Widnes Tigers 34 - 26 Newton Storm
Wigan Bulldogs 32 - 26 Bury Broncos
=#0000FFWigan St Cuthbert's A 18 - 0 Crosfields
That's two on the bounce conceded by Crosfields - problems??

Absolutley mint game of rugby league, end to end stuff and some great tries scored. i know people moan when they lose about the referee but its so fustrating when every 50/50 decision goes against you, the ref today was awful and any other referee im sure we would have picked up the points. very fustrating.
he was on 1st name terms with all of their team and seemed to call decisons based on what some idiot was shouting on their line. (manager im not sure)
i know its hard being a ref but this one was clearly biased from the onset!

Sour grapes I'm afraid.
I saw the game and there was no stand out errors the referee made at all and if there were it was certainly evenly balanced (He was taking both teams back 15 yards every play)
Storm played excellent I thought, certainly not like 0-5 team the speccies were expecting and if you play like that every week going forward there is no doubt you will pick up some points and clear the drop.
The only reason the result went the way it did is the storm ran out off steam after 65 minutes and the Tigers played through until 80. Few silly penaties conceded by the portly number 10 cost you good field position as well!

| you saw the game?? sargey you was in the bloody game. i really liked how the ref saw you gauge my eye in a tackle, not give a penalty but then tell you not to do that again when he next saw you in the line! that was great, no wonder i lost my temper and gave a penalty away for back chatting, i heard the ref even came back to yours after the game for a knees up?? haha
sour grapes no - it was a great game though and hope we can take that performance forward into the next game. a wins just round the corner.

| The worst bit for me is where we tackled a guy a foot or so from our line, the ref shouted "roll away", we did, and then a try was awarded saying he touched the ball down!!!! When our lad said "he just put that there after you shouted roll away!" the ref said "it was there ages ago" our response "WHAT THE F*CK??? Why didnt you give the try then and not shout roll away???" Grrr.
But yes, top game, not sour grapes at all (i know it doesnt sound like it!) but when a ref turns up to a match, his kids in the widnes kit and the ref knowing a full team on first name basis, you know your not in for an easy ride.
Bring on Chorley.

| Bloody hope no-one was gouging...all our games have been tough but in the right spirit, the division seems to have a good set of lad so far. The last thing we need is anyone bringing in filthy & dirty tactics like that.
Saying that, the last person I saw gouging (many, many years ago) ended up flat out cold with an adjusted nose when a veteran prop took it rather personally. The ref had seen him gouging and when he came round told him "it's yer own stupid fault" and sent him off.
Fingers in ears?? What's that all about?? I remember once playing prop in a Union scrum and the opposing prop decided he would rub his stubble against my face every time we packed down - fair dos, it was rough stubble but it still made me laugh.

Always good fun playing against mates!! We've played you both so far and neither team has been dirty...sounds like it was definitely an entertaining game (except for the ref).
