| Quote StingInTheTail="StingInTheTail"Hogan do you think with the amount of teams in Wigan that Open Age rugby has become saturated?
St Judes x 2
St Pats x 2
IRB x 2
Shevington
Ashton x 2
St Cuthberts x 2
Orrell
Spring View
Hindley
Wigan Bulldogs
New Springs
Thats 16 teams there if each has a squad of 17 thats....a hell of a lot of lads in Wigan to find!'"
Personally I dont think it is saturated because theres every level of rugby available for every ability/desire to play. In terms of teams - for Wigan Bulldogs read Beechill, for New Springs read Crown Springs, for Hindley read Hindley Mk2. These teams aren't exactly new mostly reincarnations of old teams based in the same area that there's always been a team. There must a demand for places at clubs because Spring View and Hindley are both looking to establish a 2nd team due to numbers available or turning up to train play. The relative strength of teams will always ebb and flow as personell changes but with a strong junior scene around Wigan I can't see the number of teams changing much, a few name changes but not the number.

| Not sure what was wrong with us today, we started well and i cant see that we deserved to be on the end of a scoreline like that. Takes nothing away from Rochdale who are a very strong outfit, and outplayed us in all areas.
We have a lot to work on, yesterday again was like starting with a new team, 5 lads on debut. we'll re-group and come back stronger i have no doubt.
At least we won the important part after the game

| New on here and its my first post.
We got beat of a very good Hindley team yesterday 6-34. Was a good hard game. We just didnt have the fitness and pace to match them. Well done Hindley and look forward to coming to your place

| Yea we did, was much closer at HT not sure what the score was but like i said before there fitness was much better and they finished us off in the 2nd half. We could of maybe got 1 or 2 more trys but just didnt have the finishing we needed. but good game. Hope we have 17 next week as we only seem to have 17 when playing at home

| HUGE Improvement from NSL at the weekend, we travelled with 16 players, 2 players again making debuts. We held Mayfield up until 60 minutes when we took a few knocks and our bench simply wasnt strong enough.
Half time score 16-16 speaks volumes for our performance compared to the previous week, im convinced we are far better than our league position suggests. Once we get a regular side we will come up with the goods.
