we played with 16 men but that was due 2 injuries and work commitments but it was a strong side we put out. we was just a totally differant team in the 2nd half. widnes played well in the 1st half and we played and vice versa 2nd half

| Round 6, 9th Oct:
Bolton Mets vs Westhoughton Lions
Chorley Panthers vs St Helens Wild Boars
Eccleston Lions vs Rylands Sharks A
Widnes Tigers vs Newton Storm
Wigan Bulldogs vs Bury Broncos
Wigan St Cuthbert's A vs Crosfields
A few close ones again this weekend: I think Bolton will have too much for Westhoughton, Wild Boars should beat Chorley, Eccleston are tough to beat at home so I'll go with them but that should be a belter, Widnes - Newton a tight one but Widnes are at home, I'll always back Bury, and Cuthberts should just turn over Crosfields.

No!! Not just for losing, but we were as sh*te as a sh*te thing in Shitesville, United States of Sh*te. I don't mind losing as long as we play well but compared to the weeks before we were diabolical. Execution was terrible, completion was terrible, handling was terrible and why oh why certain lads kept insisting on trying offloads on tackle 1 and 2 I don't know. We have an effective game plan that's done us well so far but none of the lads followed it.
We paid a heavy price as well with 1 pulling out in the warm-up and 4 injured on the bench by about 60 minutes and no subs, and I'm not sure how many of those will be fit this week.
Not to take anything away from you fellas, you kept the big lads rolling forward and combined with a couple of very good runners you've got, ground out your win. We didn't deserve it.

| We've been there ourselves so know what your team is going through but thought you was better then last season and just thought you tired after going uphill in the first half.

| Do Wigan Bulldogs still play on that pitch by the DW sports centre near the stadium?
NWC has it as "Scot Lane, Stadium Way, WN5 0UN", while LeagueRepublic has it as "William Foster Playing Fields, Ince, Wigan".
Any ideas?

| Wigan Bulldogs 32 - 26 Bury Broncos
We travelled with 8 first-teamers out and a few drafted in this morning as cover, but the boys put in a good effort. We took the lead, went behind, took the lead again and went behind but came close to nicking it at the end. Must admit one of Wigan's tries was from a baaaad forward pass but fair dos they ground it out and kicked a few penalties to gradually take the lead. We scored a few nice tries today; all in all it was a belting game, and Wigan were gracious in victory.
Other results (my predictions went to sht!!):
Bolton Mets 24 - 26 Westhoughton Lions (good win Lions!)
Chorley Panthers 6 - 36 St Helens Wild Boar
Eccleston Lions 28 - 30 Rylands Sharks A (tough to win at Eccy)
Widnes Tigers 34 - 26 Newton Storm
Wigan Bulldogs 32 - 26 Bury Broncos
=#0000FFWigan St Cuthbert's A 18 - 0 Crosfields
That's two on the bounce conceded by Crosfields - problems??

Absolutley mint game of rugby league, end to end stuff and some great tries scored. i know people moan when they lose about the referee but its so fustrating when every 50/50 decision goes against you, the ref today was awful and any other referee im sure we would have picked up the points. very fustrating.
he was on 1st name terms with all of their team and seemed to call decisons based on what some idiot was shouting on their line. (manager im not sure)
i know its hard being a ref but this one was clearly biased from the onset!

Sour grapes I'm afraid.
I saw the game and there was no stand out errors the referee made at all and if there were it was certainly evenly balanced (He was taking both teams back 15 yards every play)
Storm played excellent I thought, certainly not like 0-5 team the speccies were expecting and if you play like that every week going forward there is no doubt you will pick up some points and clear the drop.
The only reason the result went the way it did is the storm ran out off steam after 65 minutes and the Tigers played through until 80. Few silly penaties conceded by the portly number 10 cost you good field position as well!
