Salford RLFC Folly ARLFC Good john wilky last looked out on the pitch at salford. when the snow lay round about deep and crisp and even brightly played the lads that night though the frost was cruelllll when poor swinton scored a try we had 94urrrrrrrrrr:7891.jpg

After playing both Blackbrook and Widnes west bank in consecutive weeks I must say i don't the Bank are anywhere near Blackbrook. After leading 22-6 against West Bank last week we went on the throw the game and ended up drawing 22-22. Blackbrook on the hand we almost impossible to break down defensively. After we took the lead against them I thought they would crack, but they battled on and got 2 tries just before half time making it 8-4 then the second half was all one traffic.

We have some strong teams this year for me Blackbrook, widnes west bank and Us (Folly Lane) will be the top 3. With teams like Chester and Accrintong all being competitive. So far its been a lot better than last years comp. Long may it continue

We have played both and Blackbrook at home were 6-10 until we had a lad sinbinned and they they went on to win 22-6 in the last 15 minutes. I agree that Widnes aren't quite as strong and our game against them was won in the final couple of minutes with a pass so far forward it was a joke! We had chances to equalise through a couple of penalties however we wanted the win and ended up losing 34-32!

I think Ashton could be in the top 3 they have made a cracking start to the season, I am hoping that we (Chester) can start to put a run of wins together I am gutted that we don't play Rochdale and Folly Lane until the final month, bad planning by the league!

Chester 18 - 0 Little Hulton

Got a call at just after 1Chester 20 - 14 Spring View

A great close game of Rugby League that ebbed both ways throughout the match and thanks to Anita and the Spring View lads for travelling when their ground was declared unfit last night. Thankfully it allowed me to field at least a few lads who haven't really been tried before and the Chester team had to dig deep to gain the win.

Very pleased man tonight!

yes was a good hard game today , think chester got some good players and our young boys were struggling to get some of them big boys down but great test for um, just need to get them a fixture every week.

Mickpip - Most definately if the numbers continue here in Chester then we will be looking for a fair few games as yesterday I had 30 lads available hence why we wanted the second game and that was with 6 or so away injured.

It was a great run for us and I think soem of the lads who haven't played for us before really appreciated the run out it was good for us to be able to do that without it counting to the league!

Hopefully see you in a few weeks!

Fitton Hill 3 - 20 Folly Lane

Well to say I was surprised at how good Fitton were is an understatement, really don't know how they got 90 put past them last week. Defiantly the most physical team we've come up against so far and In a mud bath both teams slugged it out up the middle. Fitton being 3-0 up at half time, then finally running out of steam and Folly scoring 20 unanswered points in the second half.

Think we could have scored a few more on a better pitch, but full credit to them, the hardest game of the season so far.

"Why, oh why people bring dogs to Rugby League games I'll never know".:

Ashton Bears A 20-38 Leigh East A.
Always going to be a struggle with 4 centres in the pack and ultimately Leigh put us away with some good rugby. They fully deserved the victory in a game we were never really going to win. Looking at their 1st and 2nd team results Leigh look like they're back on track and I'm sure they will go well this season. Hopefully we'll have a full set to choose from for this weeks game away at Chester, last week was the 1st time this season we've had a full strength 20 to pick from. Still, we're a new side still finding our feet and looking forward to the rest of the games.

Accrington Panthers v Blackbrook A - Blackbrook all the way, no one will beat them this season IMO

Ashton Bears A v Chester - Very tough one to call I'm going for home advantage though

Blackpool Scorpions A v Halton Simms Cross A - If Simmies travel with a full set they should beat Blackpool.

Folly Lane A v Leigh East A - we always seem to have tough games against east, but we've been playing well on the whole this year. Folly win.

Irlam Hornets A v Widnes West Bank A - West bank easy

Little Hulton v Culcheth - Culcheth have had some good results so I can see them seeing Little Hulton off without much problem

Rochdale Cobras A v Fitton Hill - If Cobras turn up they will win, but if Fitton play like they did against us they will win tough call, but im going for home advantage. Fitton seems a tough place to go so I'd go for them if they were at home.
