Managed to get to watch Irlam v Orrell on saturday after missing the last few games, and it was a good close game.
The scoreline flatters Irlam a bit as it was a lot closer than it suggests.
From last year Orrell have a lot of new faces and some good players they will defo shock a few teams this year if they manage to keep hold of there squad.
Irlam's fitness probably won them the game in the end after they were behind 0-8 within the first 15 mins but came back to get in front and win the game.
I agree something has changed at irlam but at times saw flashes of the team last year, they just seem to want to score everytime they have the ball rather than just accepting the tackle!!
But well done orrell who were a good clean physical side and i hope they can keep going !!

seems like it was a good win for us after hearing they had a few pro,s playing,they were a good team.ulverston on sat ,day out on a coach lads will be pissed shame i don,t drink a lot.we will have to play alot better,get our defence sorted,and start sharper.looks likes it will be a tight league this year.

orrell will win easily if they put out the same side as they did against irlam, i see nobody fancys us to take the win tommorow hopefully the lads can silence the critics my say will be irlam by 8

As with us I think Irlam can beat anyone in this league on there day.....should be a good game! Gna be an interesting board on Saturday night looking at the fixtures, all tough calls, got love this league this year, even tho I did have a pop early doors re walkovers!!....were looking like we should have a few big game players back Saturday, will defo be a tough at finch, always are good hard games!

Hindpool 10 HFH 10

I am absolutely delighted with this result, we had 15 players missing from last week and only had 9 lads at 11am.

I ended up pulling a jersey on along with 2 other HFH master players to go on the bench.

We defended for our lives on our try line and completed 28 successive tackles before the break and kept the Tigers out.

We also played 70 mins with 12 men as one of our lads got red carded for a spear tackle, hope the lad is ok, as our lad who was involved isn't a bad lad, just made a daft mistake and held his hands up.

Top of the league with a well earned week off to get some of our lads back for Heysham the week after.

Great effort from Halton. How we never won that game I will never know. You lads hardly had the ball but like you say your defence was awesome and our constant panic rugby never helped us.
Player has been checked out at the hospital and will be ok. Tackle was a bad one but there was no malice intended.
Again well done and best of luck for the rest of the season.

Irlam beat ulv think it was 30-16... Good hard game ulv were winning at half time and should of gone on to win it but we went to shit in the second half didn't complete one set of six in the first 15 mins of the second half! But well done to irlam gd luck for rest of the season

Great effort yesterday from the boys, Haresfinch are a massive set and play it down the middle allot so our fellas had to dig in at times, our trys came on the back of some fantastic rugby and in the heat 1-17 deserve a pat on the back, some big performances!

couldn,t make ulverston and irlam yesterday,but heard i was great game ,ulv had 1st half but we battered them 2nd

Sorry to orrell for yesterday. 11 lads turned up to find that 2 lads have gone to st annes 1 as quit and another 2 r on their hols and the coach for under 18s wont let em play for us even with their game called off this week.

so all together thats, 7 to st annes, 3 av quit and 3 are injured
