Saturday 24th:
Friendly, Ashton Bears A beat Blackpool Sea Eagles 60-22 at Blackpool.

The merit league play-offs start in a couple of weeks time, hopefully we can keep the form together for then.

It looks like we'll be keeping the majority of the squad together and entering NWC in the winter, dependant on a few details still to be sorted. For those players we are losing, the local football scene is getting some good rugby players back, shame really!

Anyone interested in joining for the winter either pm me or attend training Tuesdays and Thursdays at our Low Bank Road ground, 6.45pm.

Which means that we finished on the same points as Wirral and will now move above them in the league as they have conceded a fixture and we havent all season. Points difference does not come into play in the summer league.

west bank 36-16 wirral score line reflects the result wirral played well we played well in 2nd half after band 20 mins in 1st half when we took control wirral never looked like scoring but were always willing to play which is a credit to them. they are easily the 2nd best in this division but unfortunatly were struggling for numbers. not heard the wigan and lymm score but i think we play the winner next week apparently at eccles and salford.

Congrats West Bank on reaching the final, Wirral are a strong side, your result is the exact scoreline when we beat them 3 weeks ago, so it sets up a nice final!
